BELLEVUE, OH (September 27, 2005) – Armstrong Air gas furnaces received the 2005 Comfortech Showcase Product Award in the heating equipment category for the extensive product line of two-pipe 80% gas furnaces. Each brand offers three lines of gas furnaces: Enhanced 80V, Advantage 80II and the Advantage 80.
A panel of judges evaluated the family of furnaces against heating products from a variety of other manufacturers in the industry. The judges reviewed key factors such as innovation, design functionality, and ease of use. In addition to being recognized for product excellence, Armstrong Air offers more two-pipe 80% gas furnaces than any other manufacturer in the industry.
“We are honored that Armstrong Air two-pipe 80% gas furnaces received the 2005 Comfortech Heating Innovation award,” states Ken Ely, heating product manager, Armstrong Air Conditioning Inc. “We believe this illustrates our commitment to supply a very complete furnace offering, providing unique advantages to our distributors, dealers and ultimately our consumers.”
Product features include improved indoor air quality, greater efficiency, quiet operation, increased installation flexibility and enhanced furnace life. Being able to supply clean and fresh outdoor combustion air, rather than recycled conditioned indoor air, helps lengthen the life of the furnace and depending on the model enhances the consumer warranty.
“Unlike traditional two-pipe installations, the Armstrong Air Enhanced 80V, Advantage 80II and Advantage 80 two-pipe furnaces can draw the combustion air from any pressure zone independent of where the furnace is being vented. This offers dealers tremendous installation flexibility to maximize consumer comfort while minimizing the dealer’s investment,” states Ely.
Two-pipe 80% gas furnaces are designed, assembled and factory run tested to assure quality, efficiency, dependability and exceptional value in home heating. All furnaces meet or exceed all industry-recognized safety, performance and efficiency standards.
